A few years ago I began an April ritual of cleaning two windows every day. I live in a small house. So I’m finished with all of my windows in a couple of weeks. And a chore I dread seems much less overwhelming.
I have several Spring Cleaning rituals – this one is by far my new favorite. I’ve even picked the two windows I’ll clean tomorrow!
What are your favorite Spring Cleaning rituals and tips?
Favorite spring cleaning tips? Is this a new oxymoron??? 🙂
Don’t get me wrong… I have nothing against spring cleaning; particularly when it is done by other people!
I didn’t grow up with the concept of spring cleaning (the genes against it run deep in my DNA), but I am learning that a good annual cleaning isn’t a bad thing!
I don’t have time for spring cleaning right now since I’m working on my dissertation, but I can tell all of you this…. I will be doing “doctorate complete cleaning” once I’ve earned my degree and have time to clean up right. And I will begin with my closets, since that is where I have been hiding my clutter for the past five years! Pitch and hoe will my motto!!!!!
Good luck with your windows, Lisa!!!
I’m afraid I don’t do much spring cleaning. To me, spring means outdoors. After such a horrible winter, I’m really enjoying being outdoors. And this time of year…spring…always makes me think of hiking, canoeing, and just enjoying being outside anywhere. Seems like this time of year I always think about being in the Okefenokee Swamp. Weird, I know. But that’s very close to heaven for me….and has been for nearly 30 years. Not spring cleaning, but spring remembering. Much better.
thanks for the reality check, Judi!
‘spring remembering’… love that, Tom ~ thanks!
