wOw!

I love things that make me say wOw!

And I love to look FOR things that make me say wOw!

Inspiration abounds.

Lately, I’ve been inspired by:

a new ceiling fan;

my 85-year-old mother and her new passion for love and life;

people who are taking time to explore;

how my wonderdogs can always find That Light Place to relax;

people who start new blogs (like THIS ONE)

the resilience of dear friends as they heal and move forward;

people who are brave enough to take film photography classes;

oil caps;

and people who play bagpipes.

So I’m wondering, what’s inspiring YOU lately?

  1. You!
    And, of course, beautiful, funny, almost-5-month-old Adaline…;-)
    (Thanks for the plug, Lisa.)

  2. I was out on my walk Saturday, and a beautiful doe crossed the road in front of me. It was followed a few seconds later by a fawn who trailed along behind…just to know the coast was clear. Sure inspired me to continue my walk in the 95+ degree heat. It’s always the little things, isn’t it. So easy to miss them when we’re looking for the “earth movers.”

  3. I look for inspiration in so many things. What is inspiration for one may not be for another. This makes me ponder why you are not inspired by the same things I am…and then I have to remind myself that it’s OK.

    I guess that God’s creation does it for me. It’s not just wOw, it’s “oh” wOw. Inspiration comes from the many faces and colors of the lake, the change of seasons, the flowers, trees, and the abundance of wildlife. The sky is inspirational, day or night. I agree with Tom, it “is” the little things and also the speed you travel.

    other inspirations:
    quiet time with God
    time with family
    a clean car
    something old made new again
    a gallon of paint

  4. People, nature and poetry inspire me.

    LOVE
    by: George Herbert (1593-1632)

    LOVE bade me welcome; yet my soul drew back,
    Guilty of dust and sin.
    But quick-eyed Love, observing me grow slack
    From my first entrance in,
    Drew nearer to me, sweetly questioning
    If I lack’d anything.

    ‘A guest,’ I answer’d, ‘worthy to be here:’
    Love said, ‘You shall be he.’
    ‘I, the unkind, ungrateful? Ah, my dear,
    I cannot look on Thee.’
    Love took my hand and smiling did reply,
    ‘Who made the eyes but I?’

    ‘Truth, Lord; but I have marr’d them: let my shame
    Go where it doth deserve.’
    ‘And know you not,’ says Love, ‘Who bore the blame?’
    ‘My dear, then I will serve.’
    ‘You must sit down,’ says Love, ‘and taste my meat.’
    So I did sit and eat.
