My “word” for 2012 is wOw! wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations. It’s a word we can use when no other will work. Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week. By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012wOw! moments. I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.
Here’s what made me say wOw! this week:

106. drinking a whole pot of coffee in bed;

120. that first glimpse of the Blue Ridge mountains;
121. generous friends;
122. when my biggest choice is between butter pecan or cherry vanilla;
123. how few lights I can see across a mountain valley;
124. Venus brightening the SW sky;
125. remote controlled blinds;
126. 1952 Vincent Black Lightening;
127. rays of morning sun on neighboring mountains;
128. fogLESS mountain mornings;

130. watching snow tubers and zipliners;
131. a crisp apple with almond butter;
132. Warren Buffett;
133. watercolored-like skies;
134. a Bose I-Pod dock (nope, not mine);

136. finding out that my longtime pal Erin is one of the department managers are the Mast General Store;
137. early mornings on the Blue Ridge Parkway;
138. horses grazing in frosty pastures;
139. Panera’s spinach& artichoke souffle;
140. watching a hawk fly off with its prey;
141. Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff;
142. visiting one of my favorite Cheap Therapy customers – Rivercross Market;
143. el Naturalista shoes;
144. Whitney’s “‘it’s what’s on the inside that counts” cuff bracelet;
145. wine to water;
145. Susan Owen’s ‘It’s Just a Drop‘ handmade jewelry that benefits water initiatives around the world (if she had a website, i would SO post it here!);
146. Linn Cove Viaduct completely fogged-in;
147. watching fog roll down a mountain;
148. realizing I couldn’t call Mari about 197 times;
149. feeling absolutely, positively and completely relaxed;
150. the impact of a great breakfast;
151. uncontrollable laughter;
152. rain in the mountains;
153. holy conversation with my sweetheart about how we both became who we are;
154. valerian and mint tea;
155. the fallen tree that missed Tom’s truck by inches;
156. a full rainbow over the mountains;
157. sad news about my one of my nephew/niece’s family dog;
158. the murder of a dear friend’s son;
159. that dear friend’s response to her loss;
160. one of my nephew/niece’s family finding The Perfect house;
161. replicating that Panera spinach and artichoke souffle;

How about, how BAD our dog, Nina, smelled after apparently rolling in the remains of some decomposing animal she found in the swamp? (She was so pleased to bring it to us and lay it at our feet!) Luckily, this “grossed-out” wOw was soon followed by the wOw of how soft and silky and good smelling she was after her bath with lavender scented baby shampoo!
* Finding out Virginia Beach’s Ambulance is the nation’s largest FREE service.
* My BFF making me laugh uncontrollably when I needed it most.
* Making hats on a circular loop.
* Possibility of a REAL job.
So many of those WOW! moments I got to see, too….especially the breakfast! 🙂
