My “word” for 2012 is wOw!           

wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations.  It’s a word we can use when no other will work.   Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week.  By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012wOw! moments.   

I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.

578.  Brooklyn and the Statue of Liberty from the air;

579.  how HUGE Calvary First cemetery is;

580.  midtown NYC traffic on a Friday afternoon;

581.  my surprising sense of stillness in The Crowds;

582.  getting to know a good friend even better;

585.  what a gift is is to accept generosity;

586.  how soothing the sounds of traffic can be (from INSIDE :));

605. walking the High Line to Chelsea;

606.  Chelsea Market;

607.  bagpipe parade down 9th Ave;

608.  Spice Market;

614. a loving Italian mother and her two sons;

618.  the Imagine memorial to John Lennon;

620.  watching a polar bear do the backstroke;

622.  the humble honor of having lunch with Stephan Pollan;

628.  listening to a triumphant and brave young woman;

642.  a fragile visit from my brother-in-law and Blossom’s cousin Tika;

643. Tom winning a trophy in his first car show;

644.  what a great cook my younger nephew is;

645. a repaired air conditioner;

646.  Blossom’s new lab puppy 2nd cousin, Sandy;

647.   the healing power of honesty and trust;

648.  a humbling thunderstorm;

649. how much better double butter popcorn tastes than 92% fat free;

650.  knowing that the North Carolina Strawberry Queen lives just five doors down the street (yay, McKayla!);

651.  diet ginger ale with a slice of lime;

652. a supermoon (who knew?);

  2. Loved, loved, loved vicariously absorbing your NYC trip…there’s nothing like the magic and energy of The Big Apple. Oh, did I mention that I LOVED reading about all your fun New York adventures?!?! 🙂

  3. amma/Robin, it was a whirlwind to.be.sure! Stephan is a friend of the gal pal with whom i visited The City. we ate healthy salads 🙂
