My “word” for 2012 is wOw!           

wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations.  It’s a word we can use when no other will work.   Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week.  By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012 wOw! moments.   

I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.

Here’s what made me say wOw! this week:

1177.  a beautifully holy Baptism;

1178.  the perfect Sunday nap;

1179.  how, even after all of these years, the unpredictability of MS still disappoints me;

1180.  the promise of a new day;

1181.  Batman being sold out;

1182.  the joys of Plan Bs;

1183.  the a Burger King ice cream cone has better nutritional stats than a grilled chicken wrap;

1184.  surprise butterflies;

1185.  fixing dinner WITH my best friend;

1186.  women’s judo;

1187.  a fun road trip with a dear friend;

1188.  how beautiful the back roads of NC are;

1189.  Linda’s awesome apartment;

1190.  a fabulous Mongolian dinner at Hu Hot;

1191.  East Carolina University by moonlight;

1192.  enjoying the refreshing breeze and full moon from Linda’s deck, the Crow’s Nest;

1193.  B’s Barbeque;

1194.  the Drew Steele Recreation Center;

1195.  settling in back home with Blossom and her canine cousins Winston and Ellie;

1196.  how quickly three dogs find their own rhythm;

1197.  A mega-thunder storm in Columbus County;

1198.  roasted eggplant with Caprese salad;

1199.  the reality that Real Tomato Season is almost over here in eastern NC;

1200.  kidnapping Tom for his 67th birthday weekend;

1201.   having my front bumper crunched by a random tire tread;

1202.  the precious puzzled look on his face when we arrive in Shelby, NC;

1203.  the gobsmacked (and relieved) look on his face when he finds out we’re spending his actual birthday at the Bennett Classic Car Museum in Forest City;

1204.  AHHHHmazing fish tacos at Mi Pueblito in Shelby;

1205.  that our hotel clerk and Tom share the same birthday;

1206.  spotting a Drive In Movie in Shelby;

1207.  the joy of settling in with a good book on a bench in the classic car museum while Tom has a BLAST;

1208.  Crow Park;

1209.  the beautiful mural in downtown Forest City;
