My “word” for 2012 is wOw!
wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations. It’s a word we can use when no other will work. Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week. By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012 wOw! moments.
I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.
Here’s what made me say wOw! this week:
1822. Blossom charging a duck and having it charge her BACK (not sure which of the THREE of us was most startled/scared 😉);
1823. Kim Komando’s tip about coupon clipping (LOVE me some coupons!);
1824. the contentment of preparing for next week’s Advent and Silent Retreats at Pelican House;
1825. the comfort of helping Tom put his home back together after major renovations;
1826. Baja fish tacos;
1827. Jimmy Fallon;
1828. seeing pals Ginger, Robert and Kara in a Broadway ad for Spiderman;
1829. how Blossom so often gets her second wind when I’m ready to crash;
1830. the freedom to open up the schedule of my day;
1831. and then having MS fill it up;
1832. dear friends Johnny & Brenda surprising me with a wonderFULL gift;
1833. remembering how generous it really is to simply say “yes, thank you.”;
1834. the magic of homemade tomato basil soup;
1835. daydreaming of white chocolate bread pudding (hmmm…maybe that will be my ultimate Christmas extravagance ;0);
1836. laughing with Linda when neither of us thought we felt like laughing;
1837. that every.single.day holds amazing promise and grace;
1838. how Cheap Therapy Day makes everything better;
1839. the honor of creating exclusive cards to donate to Trinity Center;
1840. trying to be present for a dear friend as she and her sibs honor their mother’s intentions for this last part of her life;
1841. Parmesan tilapia with smashed sweet potatoes/brussel sprouts (thanks, Robin!);
1842. staring into a fire on a rainy night;
1843. hot chocolate on a chilly day with a dear friend;
1844. a healing conversation with my favorite NYC documentarian;
1845. how.much.I.love.scallops;
1846. being a little fed-up with MS;
1847. that ‘Cold Full Moon’ lighting the lake’;
1848. the past, present and future of the North Carolina Museum of Forestry;
1849. fun engagement news from my pal Mickie;
1850. dirt road adventures with Jo;
1851. how much my family in Supply loves Blossom;
1852. the passing of a dear friend’s mom;
1853. how holy the cycle of life is;
1854. making a stupid choice and then doing the Right Thing;
1855. how excited I am about retreat time;
1856. a delicious and healthy grouper/broccoli and pasta lunch at the White Oak River Bistro (in Swansboro);
1857. how crossing the Emerald Isle Bridge always feels like Coming Home;
1858. getting to watch people relax;
1859. taking a bath at Pelican House;
1860. the danger of 10 days of Trinity Center meals;
1861. New Bern and Havelock High Schools both winning State Championships (YAY Craven County!);
1862. the profound privilege of sharing stories;
1863. the healing power of Walker, Texas Ranger;
1864. The Sacred Thread that weaves us all together;
1865. the gentle murmur of conversation between new soul sisters and staying.out.of.The Way;
What made you say wOw! this week?
Our WoW is the presence of You 🙂 You light up our life by just being a part of our biological and Trinity Center Family. Love you Bunches<3
