My word for this year is LEARN.
So it just makes sense to use this Year of Sundays to reflect on 52 of my most significant Life Lessons. Some may seem more significant than others, but each one has changed how I live my life in powerful way. I’d love to hear if and how any of these same lessons have surfaced in the classroom of Your Life.
There are many great ways to show love.
Tom and I have been together for 16 years. We agree that we’ll be together as long as we’re both alive and living in separate homes. We get that this doesn’t make sense to many. We also get that it does make sense to many more. Mostly, we get that it works for us – beautifully.
When I walk around Tom’s home, I’m honored to see many signs of me. And anyone exploring my home will see many signs of Tom.
As you may know, I have a paper art business called Cheap Therapy. Among other things, I create books. I bind these books with sticks I’ve found in great places. I also use sticks given to me by others. Tom is my primary provider of sticks. Ya gotta love a man who’ll find cool sticks for his gal!
This past Christmas, my most treasured gift was a rock. Tom took a river stone from a place that’s dear to us both to a friend who carves tombstones and had “All Shall Be Well” carved into the river stone. It’s a treasure. And so is Tom, for knowing that having my mantra written in stone is beyond holy to me.
Yep, Tom rocks.
What kind of rockin’ ways has Love shown-up for you?
WHEW! I’m honored. And so much more honored to be your partner. I am truly blessed.
You 2 may have figured out the secret–separate homes and loving generosity.
Blessings to you both!
My someone special shows love to me by making my coffee every morning and warming up my car before I leave for work!
And for the record, Tom rocks!!!!! (pun intended……)
Flowers for no reason 🙂 Love shows up in all kinds of ways, especially if you are paying attention with no expectations. I love reading your stories. My love to you and Tom – the perfect couple who show and share lots of love.
Haven’t gone as far a separate houses, but for 20 years we have found separate bedrooms and bathrooms both add romance and provide calming space.
