the MIT cha-cha…

My word for this year is LEARN.

So it just makes sense to use this Year of Sundays to reflect on 52 of my most significant Life Lessons.   Some may seem more significant than others, but each one has changed how I live my life in powerful way.   I’d love to hear if and how any of these same lessons have surfaced in the classroom of Your Life.

lesson45The Most Important Thing is to remember The Most Important thing.

Since I started my business, Cheap Therapy, this has been a very full season of the year for me.  CT is a wholesale business.  My customers are galleries, working studios, hospital and general gift shops, independent bookstores, etc.  Their  busy season begins aroundThanksgiving.  So they need their CT by then.  We do our best to make that happen.

In the midst of The Busy Season, Advent is approaching.  In my faith tradition, Advent is the season of waiting (for Christmas and…).  It’s an uber- holy season.  For years, I’ve led Advent/Healing Retreats and Quiet Days during Advent.  This year is no different.

So these days, I’m physically, emotionally and spiritually dancing between  getting.that.paper.art.created.and.mailed AND creating the time and space needed to pay attention to what God has in store for the retreats and quiet days AND being present to/with the people I love.  It’s quite a dance – one step forward and two back (at least).

One of my favorite mantras is “The most important thing is to remember the most important thing.”   I’m planning to focus my retreat and quiet day offerings on how we find our our rythm of living into what’s important to us.  Can’t wait to find out what God is planning :).

How do you choreograph your MIT (Most Imortant Thing) cha-cha?
