timing is everything…

My word for this year is LEARN.

So it just makes sense to use this Year of Sundays to reflect on 52 of my most significant Life Lessons.   Some may seem more significant than others, but each one has changed how I live my life in powerful way.   I’d love to hear if and how any of these same lessons have surfaced in the classroom of Your Life.

lesson50“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.” ~  Gautama Buddha

This is probably the single most important lesson about which I’ve written this year.   I’ve lost count of the times I’ve mentioned in my Lesson Posts, ‘I got to learn This One Again‘.   The bottom line is, if you’re anything like me, you get to keep learning the.very.same.thing until you’re ready to Get.It.

Sometimes, I wish I was wise enough to Get.It the first time, but then, I wouldn’t be me AND I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to meet so many great teachers.

As I finish this year’s Sunday Posts about Learning, I that you AGAIN for your participation in this process.  I’ve learned MUCH from what you’ve shared here and more privately.

I hope you’ll tune in here next week, to join in a new adventure for 2014.  Until then, I send you all ALL that is good.

  1. Lisa- Thank you for being one of my teachers and companions along the journey known as 2013. (not sure that sentence is grammatically correct, but I hope you get the gist!) I have LEARNED much this year and look forward to learning more with each coming day. I have already discerned my word for 2014 and am looking forward to sharing yet another journey with you and everyone here! I salute 2013 and welcome 2014 with open arms! God’s peace and blessing to all! Judi

  2. Lisa…Your post spoke to me. Until now, I’ve never thought about opportunities to meet many good teachers for lack of “getting it” the first time. Maybe now I will try to embrace the learning process and not beat myself up for “not knowing.” Looking forward to LEARNING this year. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Thank you to a very groovy guru! That is said with a grin on my face and a twinkle in my eye, but with utmost sincerity in my heart! You always make me think deeply and inspire me to “get in the groove” to try harder at this thing called life! Truly, thank you. (:

  4. I agree with Wanda’s response. I beat myself up a lot and need to let that go and enjoy the new teachers I meet and the new lessons I learn. God is good and wise and……I am thankFULL.

  5. “When the student is ready…….” This is one of my favorite quotes. Always hard to think of the good lessons I could have learned because I wasn’t ready. But I’m very thankful for the great…and patient… teachers I’ve had along the way.
