My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
celebrating a soul sister’s birth and life;
spotting a cardinal at.the.perfect.moment;
that rainbow over LKW;
fixing Tom a spaghetti dinner;
inappropriate, yet healing, laughter;
saying “YES” to a GodFriend;
saying “NO, thanks for thinking of me for that”;
a stubborn and resilient dandelion;
the healing power of an absolute meltdown;
how humans simply understand another human’s pain;
swapping stories of strength with women;
belly laughter;
admitting /celebrating that cheese is a food group;
Bloss curling-up against my left leg at bedtime;
hearing Bloss snore;
rain on the roof at bedtime;
humility;
the power of a great hug;
sharing onion rings with beloveds;
the mental logic and emotional relief of filing tax return extensions for the first time in my life;
that moon over LKW;
a random bite of homemade granola cracking a molar;
deep-down-to-my-toenails friends; and
the painless and healing power of Big W meatballs, collards, cornbread, and red velvet bread pudding.
What NOWS did you experience this week?
A now moment of gratitude reading your post. Big love.
Big Love rightbackatcha, dear Janet.
