My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
that single tree growing at the top of Stone Mountain;
a ‘loveliness’ of ladybugs (how cool is that for a collective noun?);
picnicking with Tom;
the impact a woodpecker has on a tree;
hopeFULLy planting zinnias, one-seed-at-a-time;
how healing having dirt under my fingernails feels;
the tenaciouness of carpenter bees;
Easter Bunny shaped mini-cakes;
stripping the altar on Maundy Thursday:
the profound foretelling power of Psalm 22;
Stations of the Cross;
Malala Yousafzai’s return to Pakistan;
sharing a friend’s pain, fear, and hope; and
That.Moon.
What nows did you experience this week?
