My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
a perfectly seared scallop;
the moon over Lake Waccamaw;
hope;
volunteer violets;
the power of listening;
that astounding healing does happen;
how universal heartbreak is;
that love really does win;
a family photo session in a glorious flower patch along I74;
the honor of waiting for an old dog to decide if, when, and in which direction it would cross the highway;
a high school chorus singing “You are My Sunshine” to everyone in the Albemarle, NC Chick Fil A; and
the graceFULL excitement of a young man about to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church.
What NOWS did you experience this week?
