My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
joyFULL memories of Mom, nourished with gentle tears;
swapping sibling stories with a dear soul sister;
the honor of a friend’s trust;
the first hummingbird’s visit;
being heard;
heart-rattling terror and overwhelming hope for a beloved and his family;
finding a penny in downtown Charlotte;
the enduring magic of James Taylor’s music;
the excitement and pride of a beloved high school graduate (and his parents);
how sharing a stromboli & salas with Tom is better than the grandest meal at any fine restaurant;
being nourished by two magnificent sermons in one day;
witnessing people saying “I Will”, to God’s call;
hugging newly ordained friends;
enjoying every.single.bite of a Ceasar salad w/bacon wrapped scallops; and
traffic-stopping-rain.
What NOWS did you experience this week?
