My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
a reminder from the pulpit of the importance of storytelling;
how closely related grief and relief often are;
a young girl sharing her recipe for ‘slime’ with me, while we were in line at WalMart;
the perfect spider web;
seeing ducklings surround each other, for safe-keeping;
hearing my life-partner asked for what he needs from me;
the grace of humility;
the pain of impermanence;
a warm cinnamon roll and incredible coffee, shares with just.the.right.person;
the healing power of Hope for the future;
bearing witness to a beloved;
the VERY positive imapct of CBD oil on dear 15-year old Bloss’ arthritis;
an impromtu ice cream cone celebration with dear gal pals;
the power of a strong and brave man sharing his strong and brave story;
the reflection of That Moon on LKW;
how rainfall at bedtime soothes;
seeing the JOY in a woman’s face, as she described how she’s living into who she is; and
the healing comfort of sharing deep fried (yes, deep fried) mozzarella sticks with soul sisters.
What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
