a week of NOWS ~ #27

My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.

Here’s this week of NOWS:

the relief of allowing ‘failed’ blueberry jam to become delicious blueberry sauce;

the joy of planning adventures with Tom;

enjoying a 9pm birthday party;

iced hibiscus and blueberry tea;

every.single bite of Le Catalan’s shrimp and orzo gratin;

fireworks over LKW;

a surprising visit from grief;

the healing impact of a very clean refrigerator;

summer squash;

how sharing painful stories can lessen the the pain they cause;

reading Parker Palmer’s latest book (On the Brink of Everything), while Bloss naps on my feet;

that white vinegar really does clean just about anything;

late season zinnia sprouts; and

watching a guy catch a fish in my ‘back yard’.

What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
