My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
grateFULLy celebrating the service of friends;
inadvertenlty bringing two dragonflies into my house, when they hitched a ride on the flowers I also brought in;
remembering that I have 86,4000 seconds every.single.day AND I get to choose how I live each one of them;
that meetings really can last and hour or less;
seeing baby zinnias grow;
realizing it’s been more than three weeks, since I last watered my outdoor plants;
how the process of slicing, dicing, peeling, and smelling simmering vegetable soup is almost better than eating it;
how territorial hummingbirds are;
watching the same butterfly for 13 minutes;
holding Bloss on my lap for the entire duration of a major thunder storm;
the profound power of female friendships;
how sacred it is to reconnect family connections; and
falling asleep to the sound of rain.
What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
The reminder that friends are the family we get to choose and how grateful I am for my friends.
amen, Susan.
