a week of NOWS ~ #33

My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.

Here’s this week of NOWS:

the new crop of zinnias preparing to bloom;

finally figuring out how to use steel cut oats in a smoothie;

a fabulous book club discussion about A Tree Grows in Brooklyn;

that I don’t need to worry about running out of deep-cleaning or home improvement projects to avoid unpacking Mom boxes;

a family of ducks arriving at The Perfect Moment;

reconnecting/connecting with not just one, but two cousins from the English side of my family;

how addictive the Ancestry DNA site can be;

celebrating the voice that will always be Aretha;

the power of prayer, in its many forms;

how much joy avacado slices add to a sandwich; and

learning that not all butterflies have symmetrical wing designs.

What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?

  1. Sometimes butterflies have one ‘male’ and one ‘female’ wing. That’s what you saw! Fantastic!!
