My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
memories of what I was like from ages 13-15, after sharing sacred time with beloved 13-15 year-old girls;
laughing.until.I.cried;
that.first.sip.of.coffee;
the gift of eye contact;
the healing power of yoga;
what happens when the weight of a painful secret is shared;
every.single.bite of one of Tom’s perfectly (Big Green Egg) grilled pork chops;
gratefully witnessing Bloss rally, yet again;
finding exquisitely stacked French Broad River stones, topped with an amethyst, at the second annual NC Honey Festival;
how frighteningly easy it is for me to consider opinions with which I disagree – wrong;
really.fresh.shrimp; and
praying for rain without a hurricane.
What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
My biggest “wow” this week was hearing from one of my dearest and best frien in a simple text. I could not have been “wowed” more.
LOVE that, Val. 😍
Praying Florence leaves you safe!
