My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
realizing that there are less than ten weeks left in this year;
the healing power of away-time;
the healing power of home-time;
how, even disappointing news can be welcome, as a plan of action;
unexpected and much nourishment from a beloved;
how marvelous Mondays can be;
the simple pleasure of catching-up on The Voice;
finding a new (to me) couch and chair;
reconnecting with Daddy’s desk;
the gift of toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning supplies, from ‘angels unaware’;
the grateFULL presence I felt from the Communion of Saints (especially those from LKW Presbyterian Church!) on All Saints Day;
the joyFULL presence I felt of my mom, dad, and sister on All Souls Day;
the new TV series Homecoming;
honoring the wounded and the wounded healers;
the profound power of a group of faithFULL women;
homemade soup and bread;
storytelling;
storylistening; and
naming, embracing, and claiming the gifts of The Ordinary.
What NOWS did you witness or experience this week?
