a week of NOWS ~ # 47

My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.

Here’s this week of NOWS:

the healing grace of doing.absolutely.nothing;

reconnecting with a dear pal of my sister’s;

the convenience and comfort of a hotel room in a hospital;

the relief of Tom’s healing;

the culinary gifts Columbus County, NC;

duck confit and mustard greens tamales, prepared as only Susie can;

realizing I can’t ‘replace’ the neurologist who’s partnered with me for these first 27 years of having a body with MS in it;

a heron in.the.middle.of.the.road, just watching and waiting;

the breathtaking and heartwarming experience of reading one of my late sister’s journals; and

just.listening.to.the.rain, while Bloss sleeps (upside down, on my right foot).
