My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
the Presence, Hope and Love that is Presiding Bishop Michael Curry;
spotting a cardinal at.the.perfect.moment;
the delight of splash of lavender simple syrup (from Farmacy on Main) in my water;
inconvenient reminders that my body really does have MS in it;
the fun of pondering new designs for when Cheap Therapy can resume business.as.usual;
seeing my former tub, upside-down, in the front yard;
how often Bloss and I are visited by a very regal looking heron;
that is practically impossible to pick-up cypress ‘needles’ with a vacuum cleaner – any vacuum cleaner;
the triumph of opening several Advent Calendar ‘doors’ on the same day and NOT eating all those chocolate treats at one time;
many moments of The Green Book (movie);
the reality of ambiguous loss/grief;
Tom actually eating a steak that wasn’t cooked on his Big Green Egg; and
the PBS series Sacred.
What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
