My word for 2018 is focus, which requires paying attention to the moment – the now. So, this year, I’ll be taking note of experiences I may have missed, without focus. Many may seem to be BGO’s (blinding glimpses of the obvious), but hey, I might have missed them.
Here’s this week of NOWS:
cruising Christmas lights with Tom;
how sometimes, grief hurts like crazy and sometimes it feels comforting, like love;
the simple joy of sharing a cuppa coffee with a dear soul sister;
the delight of Tom with.a.metal.detector;
that lavender (colored) tool kits and purple vacuum cleaners even exist;
seeing the plans for my ‘new’ kitchen;
my overwhelming gratitude for my ‘now’ home;
the gentle sigh from Bloss, when I pet her, as she sleeps;
receiving a dear remnant from Florence, restored;
trying to figure out where some creature must have died near the ventilation system of my car;
getting to share a birthday lunch with my favorite 40-year-old; and
the lyrics of the songs in Mary Poppins Returns.
What NOWS did you experience or witness this week?
