It’s that time again. For the past 28 years, I’ve repainted this walking stick on or around my birthday. It’s a change I always celebrate.

I tried something new this year. I used the lyrics of a song as my focus. There are many songs that nourish my spirit, but James Taylor’s, The Secret of Life, felt right as my theme for this year.
