blame it on the moon…

I recently read (in Psychology Today magazine) that in 19th century England, lawyers used the “guilty by reason of the full moon” defense to claim that their “lunatic” (based on the word “luna” which is Latin for “moon”) clients could not be held accountable for acting under the moon’s influence.

What have you seen or done lately that you’d blame on the moon?   If it’s not something you want to share online, just comment “oh yeah…”.  😉

  1. I can’t think of anything I have already done that I would blame on the moon, but will file this away to explain any “lunacy” in the future! 🙂

  2. The old phrase, “he/she is acting looney” comes from this same origin….lunar. So, I guess the moon is affecting me most of the time. Always nice to have something to blame it on.
