I watched the 60’s version of this movie a while ago and was left feeling a bit relieved that so many of my pals teasingly call me a Pollyanna. I get that they don’t always mean it as a compliment, but I’m choosing to take it as one.
What say ye? Is the Pollyanna icon one you lean toward or away from – and why?

toward – always thought it meant a cloying, phony sweetness until I actually watched the movie and learned that she just chose to see – not make up – what was good in any situation.
