Nook advice for beginners?

I have a Kindle.  love Love LOVE it.

Someone I know and love is getting a Nook for Christmas.   This person isn’t stupid.   She’s just not a huge techno person.

So if you’re a Nookie and have great tips for beginners, about freebies, bargains, shortcuts and other basic info ~ PLEASE post it here.   I’m making her a cover for her new Nook and want to include your ideas with the cover.

  1. Lisa, I have a Nook; purchased it last year. I love, love, love it and it is so-o-o easy to use. Barnes & Noble has great videos on their website to take you step-by-step through downloads, purchases, lending books and more. I’m not the most tech-savy lady around, but I have no problems with the Nook and your friend won’t either.

  4. reading the nook is much better on the eyes than the ipad. if you’re gonna use it only for reading, the nook is the way to go.
