My “word” for 2012 is wOw!           

wOw! is one of those fabulous words that fits positive, negative and neutral situations.  It’s a word we can use when no other will work.   Over this next year of Sundays, I’m going to share some wOw!moments from the previous week.  By December 31, 2012, I’ll have shared 2012 wOw! moments.   

I hope you’ll have spotted (and maybe even shared) close to that, too.

Here’s what made me say wOw! this week:

746. sourdough cinnamon bread;

747.  strong breezes at LKW;

748.  coffee tawk with Linda;

749.  the profound reality of why we celebrate Memorial Day;

750.  the privilege of being a Marine Brat;

751.  Crystal Light Mojito mix;

752.  Linda making it home in less than three hours;

753.  beet and walnut salad;

754.  a squirrel balancing on a cypress knee for FIVE MINUTES;

755.  that the above held my undivided attention for the whole time;

756.  witnessing the healing of a very brave young woman;

757.  a wonderful birthday celebration;

758.  men who still carry real handkerchiefs;

759.  date day;

760. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel;

761.  the scallop, garlic & cilantro dish from San Juan in Whiteville;

762.  the life and legacy of Doc Watson;

763.  falling asleep to gentle, steady rain;

764.  waking up to gentle, steady rain;

765.  ‘carpet ridges’ after vacuuming (Mari LOVED ‘carpet ridges’ 🙂 );

766.  being drenched by rain ~ on purpose;

767.  Hatfields and McCoys on the History channel;

768. the joy of seeing stacks of Cheap Therapy hand painted handmade paper posters ready to be mailed to my great gallery partners;

769. checking-off eVeRyThInG on my ‘to do’ list;

770. witnessing an egret move graceFULLy across my LKW shoreline;

771.  the John Edwards Trial conclusion;

772.  an old fashioned ice cream social/hymn sing;

773.  the word “guetapens,” which is a French-derived word that means an ambush or a trap and won the National Spelling Bee for Snigdha Nandipati;

774.  Andy Griffith’s 86th birthday;

775.  a fabulous yang yoga practice;

776.   hearing my mom laugh from the deepest part of herself;

777.  mailing this week’s Cheap Therapy orders a day early;

778.  the LKW Post Office Customer Appreciation Day ~ complete with snacks and a drawing for a gift certificate;

779.  onion rings from Dale’s;

780.  plenty of exercise to make up for the onion rings :);

781.  how beautiful my 13-year-old niece looked and how excited she was before her 8th grade prom;

782. opening my windows again in June;

783.  the joy of the Columbus County Farmer’s Market;

784. honoring dear high school graduates;

785.  fresh corn;

786.  Jo Wayman’s friendship and gift for photography;
